Facility Management Consultant

As a Facility Management Consultant, Steve applies his leadership skills with a passion for improving sustainability and climate resilience for the built environment.

As a facility management consultant for FEA, Steve is passionate about helping clients maximize the life of their facilities. He supports clients for a variety of projects including building and site condition assessments, system evaluations, workforce development, and organizational assessments. Steve is also an experienced project manager, who is leading FEA’s multi-year Virginia Department of Transportation project. He also led our work with the Smithsonian facility management workforce development project. Steve is an experienced team lead on National Park Service projects. He is also accomplished at creating technical content and has a passion for translating complex concepts into more easily understandable insights.

Prior to joining FEA, Steve was a commissioned officer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). During his 20 years with NOAA, Steve served in numerous roles, including Commanding Officer of a research vessel and Associate Director (ADIR) of a research laboratory.

My favorite thing about working for FEA is optimizing the performance of existing buildings, while helping the people that care for them do more with less.
