Remembering our valued IFMA colleague and friend
Kit TuvesonKit Tuveson was President of Tuveson & Associates, an international facility management consultancy company focusing on FM Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Workplace Strategies, FM Sustainability Strategies, Energy Management, and Educational/Training development for his clients around the globe.

Recently, Kit was asked to become an advisor for MelRoK, a startup firm that provides a unique energy “search engine” to holistically profile a facility’s energy use and calculate potential savings opportunities. He was also an equity partner with GreenForce Solutions, an energy services company providing products, services and training to deliver the energy reductions described by MelRoK’s energy search engine.

Kit consulted Cresa San Jose as a Senior VP and Director of Workplace Strategies, helping corporate clients create new workplaces that integrate alternative designs, policies, and productivity elements for their employees. He also provided assessments and improvement strategies for facility management operations.

Kit graduated in 2002 from a 37-year Hewlett-Packard career where he managed site facilities teams, global program managers, cross functional teams, and for ten years, served as HP’s Global Director of Facility Management Operations and also Global Director of Environmental Health & Safety.

Kit was a widely recognized FM professional with an extensive teaching and presentation background. His most recent work includes teaching IFMA’s FM Professional (FMP) course series as well as the new Sustainability Facilities Professional (SFP) series.

He was a Lifetime Certified Facility Manager, was IFMA’s Board Chairman in 1998, was a past President of the FM Consultant’s Council of IFMA, and was an IFMA Fellow.
