Senior Facilities Management Consultant

Role

FEA is seeking an accomplished Senior Facilities Management Consultant with 15 plus years of professional experience in facilities management, strategic asset planning, building systems, project management, and client relationship management. This individual will guide clients in enhancing their facility operations, capital planning, and long-term asset management while cultivating enduring relationships. The role involves leading complex projects, delivering best-in-class consulting services, and helping clients align their facility strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large facility management, asset management and strategic planning projects.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients building strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Deliver expert guidance on facility condition assessments, budgeting, capital planning, maintenance planning, and asset management strategies and programs.
  • Develop reports, assessments, capital expenditure forecasts, and presentations.
  • Oversee project scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering team growth and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subconsultants to ensure the successful delivery of client engagements.
  • Support business development through client interaction and proposal development.

Qualifications

  • 15 plus years of experience in facilities management, strategic planning, and asset management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).
  • Experience with facility condition assessments, capital renewal planning, facility strategic planning, writing to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, CMMS/IWMS solutions
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining client relationships at the executive level.
  • Familiarity with and possession of facilities related credentials will be looked upon favorably.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in facility management, asset management, and capital planning.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to critically evaluate data and develop actionable insights.
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience leading complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in a strategic planning context.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to function independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client and project needs.
