After 32 years of dedicated service, Chris Hodges, a founding partner of FEA, has announced his retirement, effective January 1, 2025.
Since its founding in 1992 as a facility engineering and consulting firm, FEA has grown into a premier strategic asset management consulting firm, helping clients create efficient, effective, and enduring environments.
As a founding principal of FEA, Chris has brought more than 40 years of expertise to the firm, empowering clients to make informed asset management decisions. His work has encompassed strategic planning, facility evaluations, organizational assessments, financial planning, and training. His passion for delivering exceptional client service has been a driving force behind FEA’s success.
Beyond his contributions to FEA, Chris has been a prominent leader in the facility management community. His influence is evident through his work with organizations like IFMA (International Facility Management Association) and APPA (Leadership in Higher Education Facilities Management), as well as his roles as an adjunct faculty member in George Mason University’s Facility Management Certificate program and Catholic University’s FM Graduate program. Chris also co-authored Sustainable Facility Management – The Facility Manager’s Guide to Optimizing Building Performance, further solidifying his status as a thought leader in the industry.
While stepping away from his leadership role, Chris will continue to lend his expertise on a part-time basis, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of service.
Chris’s visionary leadership and commitment have shaped FEA into an industry leader known for innovation, collaboration, and client focus. Reflecting on his career, Chris shared, “My time with FEA has been both professionally and personally rewarding. I have had the privilege of working with an amazing team to deliver one-of-a-kind projects, build lasting relationships, and mentor the next generation of facility management professionals.”
