Enhancing Emergency Preparedness at Facility Fusion

FEA to Present on Enhancing Emergency Preparedness at IFMA Facility Fusion 2025 in Austin

Strengthening Facility Resilience Through Scenario-Based Planning

FEA is excited to announce that Maureen Roskoski, Vice President, and Laurie Gilmer, President & COO, will be featured presenters at IFMA Facility Fusion 2025, taking place April 29–May 1 in Austin, Texas.

Maureen and Laurie will lead an in-depth Learning Lab session titled “Enhancing Preparedness Through Scenario-Based Response Planning,” offered on both April 29 and May 1. This engaging and highly interactive session is designed to help facility professionals elevate their emergency preparedness strategies through a hands-on, scenario-based approach. As organizations across industries face increasing threats—from natural hazards to infrastructure vulnerabilities—strengthening response capabilities has never been more critical.

Participants will actively engage in simulated incident scenarios, practicing real-time decision-making from initial response to incident resolution. This immersive format enables attendees to identify gaps in their existing plans, improve team coordination, and build confidence in managing unexpected events.

A key highlight of the session is the introduction of the newly released ASTM Property Resilience Standard, which provides a comprehensive framework for assessing and enhancing organizational readiness for natural hazards. Maureen and Laurie will guide attendees through practical ways to incorporate the standard into current emergency and continuity plans, ensuring more adaptable, resilient facility operations moving forward.

By the end of the session, attendees will leave equipped with:

  • Actionable strategies for refining response protocols

  • Stronger coordination and communication skills across stakeholder groups

  • A clear understanding of how to implement industry best practices for risk mitigation and preparedness

  • Knowledge of the ASTM standard and its practical application to the built environment

Whether you’re responsible for facilities management, emergency planning, or organizational resilience, this session offers tools and insights that will empower your team to respond with clarity and confidence when it matters most.

We hope to see you in Austin for this essential session on enhancing emergency preparedness and resilience in today’s evolving risk landscape.
