Resources can be personnel, equipment, suppliers or other items you need to complete your job tasks. Right now, web meeting technology is an essential resource for many of us working from home. From a facilities perspective, in this pandemic, who reports to a facility? Many organizations have a list of essential personnel. Has anything about this event changed those plans? Using business impact analysis, FEA identified our essential resources and recovery time objectives. This prioritized list of resources includes equipment, infrastructure, and technology that enables us to function, such as laptops, connectivity, and Microsoft Teams. With our staff working from home, utilizing laptops and holding meetings via Microsoft Teams has become crucial for collaboration. While we had planned to roll out the implementation of Teams over the next year, the COVID-19 pandemic sped up that timeline dramatically.
