FEA achieved the highest score in the Sustainable Exhibitor Program at IFMA’s World Workplace in 2012 and has just received that honor again at IFMA’s 2013 Facility Fusion taking place this week in Los Angeles, California. All exhibitors were invited to participate in the Sustainable Exhibitor Program which recognizes the outstanding efforts of exhibitors who successfully demonstrate sustainable practices. This voluntary program seeks to raise awareness of sustainable exhibition practices and allow recognition of each organization’s environmentally responsible actions.
The exhibitor entries were objectively evaluated on the following six categories:
- The exhibiting company’s/organization’s sustainability policies
- Exhibit materials
- Travel, packing, shipping and freight
- Printed materials and giveaways
- Recycling and reuse of exhibit materials
- Sustainable products and services
FEA has a Business Development Sustainability Policy which builds on our corporate Sustainability Policy to meet our company sustainability goals. FEA’s Corporate Sustainability Officer (Maureen Roskoski) and marketing group worked together to achieve Platinum Certification. FEA is proud of this achievement and will continue the sustainability effort through all of the trade shows and marketing efforts.
“As leaders in sustainable facility management we practice what we preach. Shining the light on ourselves allows us to understand the challenges of our clients. FEA demonstrates its commitment to sustainability through corporate policies, every day practices, and creation of client sustainable solutions.” ~ Maureen Roskoski, Corporate Sustainability Officer
