The World Bank, headquartered in Washington, D.C., has turned to FEA for consulting services for several buildings since 2000.
Facility Condition Assessments
FEA performed a long-term comprehensive condition assessment at the World Bank headquarters in 2005, covering approximately 3.8 million square feet across seven buildings. Capital expenditure forecast plans were developed by building and rolled up into a summary for the entire campus. FEA returned to update the condition assessments, providing a 10-year capital forecast and identifying the deferred maintenance backlog.
Roof, Building Exterior and Engineering Consulting
FEA performed assessments, prepared repair and replacement designs, provided bidding assistance and performed construction contract administration for roof replacements at the main complex. We provided roof consulting services at the main complex in a multi-year, phased approach for the replacement of nearly 30 roof sections following a comprehensive evaluation and replacement plan. Additional services have included waterproofing and sidewalk restoration, re-waterproofing of an interior architectural pool in the atrium of the main complex, and design of playground modifications.
