Facility Engineering Associates (FEA), in partnership with the IFMA Foundation, is pleased to announce the release of the eighth guide in the Sustainability “How-To Guide” Series. This new publication, Green Rating Systems Guide, was authored by Mayra Portalatin, Teena Shouse, Maureen Roskoski, and Kristina Koepke, all from FEA.
The Green Rating Systems Guide was created as an unbiased exploration of the world of green rating systems. It is a documented guide to discuss the different system’s attributes, utilization on a global basis, and benefits to the facility management world. The guide consists of realistic data, including costs and benefits of the systems, allowing the reader to make an educated decision based on their own sustainability journey as to which green rating system is best for their facility.
“This guide will be a valuable resource for all of those facility managers out there trying to make sense of building rating systems,” said Chris Hodges, principal at FEA and a past IFMA chair. “By taking an international perspective, this guide will give us a clear, objective look at building rating systems and how they compare.”
