Colorado State University

Asset Management Process Improvements & Technology Implementation

Fort Collins, Colorado

Project Overview

Colorado State University (CSU) is a public land-grant research university in Fort Collins, Colorado, and is the flagship university of the Colorado State University System. CSU was embarking on a technology implementation process across multiple business units. FEA was engaged to develop a facility asset management strategy for effective implementation across several facilities management groups and improve business processes to facilitate technology adoption.

This effort required multiple meetings with stakeholders to achieve buy-in, agree on objectives, and increase consistency in data collection and reporting amongst the departments. We facilitated workshops, training sessions, and collaboration meetings which ultimately led to a consensus on performance standards and reporting.

At the tactical level, FEA reviewed and analyzed the business processes, policies, and practices for facility maintenance, asset management, materials management, space management, and project management for the University.

Ultimately, we were able to facilitate the engagement of multiple business units to align improve business processes, workflow processes and help the university implement its chosen integrated workplace management system (IWMS).
