Did you hear? DC finalized its rule on Energy Benchmarking
On January 18, 2013, the District of Columbia Department of the Environment (DOE) published the final rulemaking for energy benchmarking of private buildings in the DC Register (60 DCR 367). This rule affects public and private residential and nonresidential buildings. By April 2014, all buildings 50,000 sq. ft. or over will be required to benchmark their energy performance and send their energy data to DC DOE. For those of you with buildings 100,000 sq.ft. or higher, you are required to submit your data by April 1, 2013.
How can you comply?
