Design and implementation of building repairs can present challenges when dealing with existing conditions. Access difficulties, time and budget constraints, etc. hinder observation and understanding of conditions. This session will share a project-related experience utilizing 3D laser scanning technology. We’ll explore how this innovative approach was used to render models of elevation planes for detection of brick movement in consideration of retrofit masonry ties.
