Please join in congratulating Matt Schofield for becoming FEA’s newest Project Engineer! Matt has shown an increasing ability to work independently in managing both projects and clients. He has stepped up when needed and has shown a willingness to take on whatever is asked of him. Matt’s role in FES will only continue to grow.
Matt Schofield graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Matt’s related course work was in Construction Management, Advanced Structural Concrete, Reinforced Concrete Design, Traffic Engineering, Design of Steel Structures and Earth Pressure Foundations. Matt is active with FEA writing specifications for construction documents and completing a design for a retaining wall. Matt is experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, ArcGIS, Mastan and Troxler Nuclear Gauge. Matt previously worked as a construction materials technician verifying the integrity of materials and construction methods used by contractors on numerous constructions sites. He also observed and inspected the placement of concrete and soils and the construction of deep and shallow foundation systems.
