Kathy Powers presents ‘How to Create, Sell and Execute an Effective, Interactive CMMS/IWMS Training Program’ at IFMA WWP
The presentation covers a method for creating, selling and executing a training program for an FM organization that includes interactive IWMS training as was implemented by the Smithsonian’s FM organization. The presentation includes a discussion of the tools necessary to identify your IWMS training needs, develop a training program to meet those needs, build a business case justifying the time and money for the program, and execute it. An IWMS is powerful management information tool, and as with any tool it requires practice, dedication and continual training on upgrades to use it proficiently and to its best effect. A proven method utilized by the Smithsonian Institution’s FM Organization to train all 400 members of their staff, keep them trained and the benefits SI is enjoying such as accurate IWMS data that can be used to justify resources and enhance facility decisions is also covered in detail.
