Ever wonder how much money you need to set aside in your reserves to fund your capital projects?
If you manage a community in the State of Virginia, you’re likely very familiar with Reserve Studies, as they are required by law. But if it is not a requirement for you, should you get one? What do they tell you?
Join Tom Larson, a CAI-certified Reserve Specialist and Professional Reserve Analyst, as he explains the elements of reserve studies, national standards, differences between component and cash flow funding models, funding goals, and why reserve studies are important to every community.
The presentation will include examples of reserve tables and how funding plans are evaluated, and will explain what reserve studies are, and equally important, what they are not.
This session is not only recommended for property managers, but for Board members who want to better understand reserve funding.
