Laurie Gilmer is a Vice President at Facility Engineering Associates and leads FEA’s facility asset management, building energy management, and sustainability services. Laurie is a published author, and co-authored the International Facility Management Association’s (IFMA) second manual in the Sustainability “How-To-Guide” Series, EPA’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Laurie is chair of IFMA’s Sustainability Facility Credential scheme committee, former chair of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council’s Building Operator Certification program advisory committee, and an instructor for IFMA’s Sustainability Facility Management, Facility Management Professional, and Certified Facility Manager programs.

Jim Whittaker is President/CEO of Facility Engineering Associates (FEA), a firm specializing in the built environment and facilities asset management. He has both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering and is a registered professional engineer. He is credentialed through IFMA and APPA as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP), respectively. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Mr. Whittaker is the Immediate Past Chair, Board of Directors for the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). In 2011 he was appointed to and currently serves on the National Academies of Sciences’ National Research Council Board on Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment (BICE). He is currently Chair of the ANSI US/TAG for the ISO TC/267 FM Standard and Convenor for ISO 41000 FM management system standard.
