Hodges Also Appointed New Chair of IFMA’s International Sustainability Committee
Each year, the current IFMA chair has the opportunity to present a Chairman’s Citation to an outstanding person or group who has provided exceptional support and assistance in projects focused on enhancing the facility management profession.
Past recipients have included IFMA staff, founding members, past presidents and members whose hard work and dedication are deserving of praise.
This year’s citation went to Christopher P. Hodges, P.E., CFM, IFMA Fellow, of Facility Engineering Associates. The award was presented to him by IFMA Chair Kathy O. Roper, CFM, MCR, LEED AP, IFMA Fellow, at the Awards of Excellence banquet during the closing day of IFMA’s World Workplace 2011 Conference & Expo.
Hodges served as the lead subject matter expert for the development of IFMA’s Sustainability Facility Professional™ credential. He has written and presented extensively on the topic of sustainable facility management, and was also named the new chair of IFMA’s International Sustainability Committee.
Hodges has served on IFMA’s board of directors, and on various task forces and advisory committees on sustainability. He has written for the FMJ, the Journal of Facilities Management, and authored the IFMA Foundation’s How-to Guide: Getting Started on sustainability. For exemplary leadership to the SFP™ credential development team; for fostering new and emerging instructors for IFMA’s education programs; for his many contributions to IFMA’s credentialing programs; and for providing vision and demonstrating extraordinary dedication to the advancement of the profession and the association, IFMA was proud to present the 2011 Chairman’s Citation to Christopher Hodges.
