FEA welcomes Matt Schofield

Please welcome Matt Schofield to the FEA family.  Matt graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering.  Matt’s related course work was in Construction Management, Advanced Structural Concrete, Reinforced Concrete Design, Traffic Engineering, Design of Steel Structures and Earth Pressure Foundations.  Matt has joined FEA as a staff engineer and already been active writing specifications for construction documents and completing a design for a retaining wall.  Matt is experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, ArcGIS, Mastan and Troxler Nuclear Gauge.  Matt previously worked as a construction materials technician verifying the integrity of materials and construction methods used by contractors on numerous constructions sites.  He also observed and inspected the placement of concrete and soils and the construction of deep and shallow foundation systems.  Matt will be joining our Facility Engineering group, working out of our Fairfax office.
