Please congratulate Serena on becoming FEA’s newest Project Engineer! Serena recently returned from her whirlwind tour (five weeks in Alaska, Lebanon, and Japan during a seven-week period) to take a well-deserved rest…before starting her second semester of grad work at George Mason. She continues to do a fantastic job on various projects no matter what the task, never showing anything less than the great enthusiasm and passion for learning. Serena Zahrah graduated from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a minor in Architecture. Serena’s related course work was in Structural Mechanics, Design of Concrete Structures, Advanced Reinforced Concrete Design, Design of Metal Structures, Construction Engineering, and Geotechnical Engineering. Serena is currently taking courses at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia to receive a Master of Engineering in Geotechnical, Construction, and Structural Engineering. Serena is experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation, and SAP2000. Serena previously worked as an assistant construction manager overseeing the quality of materials and methods used by contractors on a construction site. She also worked in transportation design to aid with the design of roadways and drainage systems. We look forward to many more years of success.
