FEA specializes in helping our clients plan, manage, and operate their facilities in a cost effective, safe and healthy manner. Our services include facility strategic planning, facility operational and capital budgeting, operations and maintenance consulting, repair and restoration engineering, FM process and technology consulting, facility resilience, and physical security and emergency preparedness planning.
Role
FEA is seeking entry-level engineers who can learn to help solve facility problems across a broad range of base building systems including structural, exterior wall, roofing, waterproofing, and parking garage systems. Staff Engineers are exposed to a wide variety of building systems and facility types and learn how to find and make recommendations to correct deficiencies with those systems. Responsibilities include assisting in condition assessment, building system evaluation, capital expenditure forecasting, preparation of construction documents and CAD drawings, and construction contract administration. Ability to help prepare proposals, reports, and other deliverables; complete field activities, and interact with clients and industry professionals is expected. Our engineers are offered a challenging environment in which they will gain experience on assessment teams in a wide variety of facility types in diverse environments across the United States and occasionally in one of the more than 40 countries in which FEA has evaluated building and facility performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
